swan_bite* so apparently when i say "i'm gonna do the blogowrimo" i mean i will watch "Arrested Development: and "Parks and Recreation" ignore the hell out of LJ, read books, and lurk like a hor on tumblr.
* i've been using a DW to private post my favorite fics because SPN has made me afraid as fuck of losing all the fics i hold close to my heart because some brilliantly talented author no longer feels any joy in this fandom and doesn't want (totally justifiable, because it's every author's right) to post their fics online. what do you guys do to save your favorite fics?
*pls to not be talking to me about the latest episode, because i haven't watched it-- I'm scared to. I feel so hopeless ever since Castiel went the way of Virginia Wolf and I haven't been able to feel the same joy and excitement I used to feel when I watched the show, and I'm just really apprehensive. though I'm actually kind of weird since sometimes tragedy makes me go in the other direction-- like "Glory" with Den Washington: that kind of tragedy lifts me up into the stratosphere. I'm not sure though, that SPN can deliver that amount of beautiful catharsis.

i encourage y'all to do this, create your own reading lists of fics and comment, because comments are ♥ andauthors everyone can use a little ♥ during the Holidays.
i won't be reading these fab bitches in order, because then it would be too much like work and this is fandom, people. land of the pantless wonders and the scavenger hunts.
1. HP Let's Pretend the War is Over by ~Piratefancier
This fic deals with people losing their minds/redefining reality/while falling in love and being in love and I thought it would be cool for when I reread "Jensen Inside."
2. SPN Easy on the Clutch by ~Yourperiphery READ!
In honor of her return to Fandom, ya know? i hate it with a very selfish hate when authors leave and love with an equally fierce and selfish love the moment they return.
3. SPN Jensen Inside by ~Glassy Skies
Because this fic delivers beautiful catharsis. And I want to compare it to "Let's Pretend the War is Over."
4. HP Humbug by Anonymous
A re-telling of "A Christmas Carol" HP style.
5. BBC Sherlock Planet Sherlock by ~Piratefancier
6. Glee Cause you've got an awefully long way to go by ~Paperclipbitch
Glee is problematic, I agree. So is SPN and Mad Men and Dexter and even Community every once in a while. Not even The Big Bang Theory is immune to issues, so...Kurt/Puck is aweful cute, though.
7. Suits Disturbing the Peace by ~Grim Lupine
Because I miss this show and boys in suits are yum.
8.TWD Friction Match by ~Vegarin READ!
The Walking Dead. I know, you might think that Zombies are not exactly holiday material, but I love Zombies and Love is Holidayish thus Zombies are Holiday Material. I wanted some Shane/Rick but apparently everyone hates Shane (including me) and nobody wants to read fic about him (excluding me). Plus, an Asian guy sharing equal fictime with a white guy in a Western Fandom? Sign me right up.

Because apparently I read Jensen/Misha. Also, I save up her fics for special days and what's more special than me not having to go to work for a couple of weeks?

during the holiday season i get nostalgic for my old fandoms, and like to reread or discover new favorites. this is SPN heavy though because it's the fandom i'm most active in right now, reading-wise.
rec me and I'll add more fics. self-pimp encouraged. the downside is that if i don't like an aspect of it? i'll say it. nicely, though, because i'm not a sociopath. if anyone wants to do a list of their own, i'll rec you something. 's only fair.
