i've seen it used as a synonym for "delusional" which is what i was addressing here.
I rarely ever read through porn scenes in fiction because most of them bore me to tears.

That's not the part of a relationship that interests me - I'm only interested in the dynamic between two characters.
yes, because for me sex can be (not always, but sometimes) like the explosions in a movie, the fight scenes, the car chases, whatever. it can be awesome, but at the end of the day if i don't give a shit about the characters, i don't care to walk with them down the street, run away with them, jump along when they throw themselves off buildings and dodge bullets, tumble into bed with them and their significant other.
